About This Product
With the discharge wand earthed to the base and held about 30 mm from the dome, the motor is started slowly and speeded up until sparks jump the gap. The accessories then show like charges repelling in the tinsel plume and jumping balls, reaction from charge leaking off the points of the electric whirl, and the field lighting the neon tube, all of which illustrate charging by friction, Coulomb’s law and electric fields.
